[september.2002] 01. Kasner will soon be participating in the "Towering - Commemorating the Inspiration of the World Trade Center" multi-media art exhibition at 1300 in Cleveland, OH. This exhibition will explore how the World Trade Center has inspired the lives and the work of artists. Rather than dwelling on the destructive events of September 11th, "Towering..." seeks to commemorate a positive response to the history, architecture and composition of the World Trade Center along with the impact it has had on the creative energies of artists. The opening reception will take place on September 6th at 7:00pm, and the show runs through September 27th. 02. Stephen Kasner and Douglas Max Utter will be taking part in a dual exhibition, "Recent Paintings", at the Dead Horse Gallery in Lakewood, OH through September 21st, with an opening reception on the night of August 30th. For more information visit the Dead Horse website or read the following press release. Both Kasner and Utter will be interviewed regarding the exhibition on Cleveland Public Radio's "Around Noon" on Thursday, August 29th. The broadcast airs at 12 noon (EST) on WCPN 90.3 in Cleveland. If you are outside the Cleveland area, you can also listen to the interview online at this location.
[august.2002] 02. Stephen Kasner has been invited to exhibit at this year's HessFest in Cleveland, OH. However, this year will see the addition of the HessFest Gallery, an exhibition space for a limited, hand-chosen group of national artists including Kasner, Glenn Barr, Bask, Darren Doane and Steven Cerio (in addition to Derek Hess). HessFest will be hosted at the Cleveland Agora on Saturday, August 10th. For complete details regarding the event, visit the HessFest website.
